my 5 speed swap

This is a discussion on my 5 speed swap within the 3-Series forums, part of the BMW Discussion Forums category; so, im looking at this tranny to do my 5 speed swap. this guy is selling a tranny for 250 ...

my 5 speed swap

so, im looking at this tranny to do my 5 speed swap.
this guy is selling a tranny for 250 with 140k on it. it includes the shifter and linkage. how do you guys feel about this?
what else would i need to do the converison?

Pedal cluster, driveshaft i believe....

Do you have space to keep a 2-400$ e30 while you pull parts off of it? Thats probably the best route, id say. Might even break even or better selling some parts off it.

i could find space definitly, ive been looking for part cars. cuz i wanna do my own swap.
i think i might also have to get a clutch kit, which if that happens i should just look for a parts car. how much are draftshafts?
