are the manual trannys all the same?

I have an imported e30 320i cabrio from Japan, and if any of you have looked at the e30's in the Japan auctions, you would know that it's hard to find a 5-spd equipped one. I am interested in swapping my auto tranny for a manual tranny.

Would I have to find one that is cabrio specific? or are all the coupe/sedan/cabrio ones the same?

Also, what are all the parts I need? Does anyone have any price estimates?

Thanks for the help!

I believe the Transmissions are the same, and the drive shafts are different lengths to fit the different models.
