Have any experience installing E30 door mouldings?

Any one here have experience installing E30 door mouldings (91 318is). I have the necessary clips but can quite see how to marry them together. Specifically parts 9 and 6 in the link below.

http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...59&hg=51&fg=20

Part 6 seems to be made to slide into the back of the moulding and part 9, if I remember correctly, snaps into the door panel. It seems they should work together somehow to securely fasten the moulding to the panel but something about the setup just doesn't seem right.

Both parts have the pin/expanding back design but it is not clear how this helps them connect.

Thanks in advance for your tips.

Jason

Woohoo! They mystery is solved. Apparently, only part 9 is needed. Once inserted into the door and the expanding pin pushed in about half way the moulding just snaps on overtop of it. Couldn't be any easier!
