BBS RS rims - need help with fitting and details

So i've decided that over the next year i'm going to do some work on my 91 318is. I just put on bilstein sport shocks and H&R sport springs, as well as ground control coilovers. I got my hands on a full mtech 2 kit which is on the way, and once that is installed a paint job will likely follow. I think i'm going to change the rim/tires now too.
I really like the BBS RS rims, and know they are quite hard to come by these days. I've been searching all over the internet and a few other places and have found that they seem to vary in appearance. Is there anyone who knows more about the details of the BBS RS rims, more specifically, if you can change them to create the deep dish look (they are 3 piece rims). I read something about adding a 2 or 3' lip, but i'm not sure how that would look. Also, what do you guys think about 4 to 5 lug adapters...i've heard some mixed opinions on the topic.

When I'm trying to search 'BBS RS rims', i get both of these rims as the same product, but I am interested in the deeper one. How can I specify this for trying to find these in the future? It may be a dumb questions, but I guess what i'm trying to say is: Are certain BBS RS rims deeper dished than others, or do they just look deceiving in the photos?
Also when people refer to the lip, is it the entire piece starting from the bolts in the outer circle of the rim to the outer edge that touches the tire?

Sorry guys I think I just figured it out. A deeper lip can be purchased to make the deep dish look. Correct me if I am wrong?
Also, how do you think a 2" lip in the front and 3" lip in the back would look. Anyone have any pics?

You're right. The BBS RS/RM series of wheels are largely alterable in offset, depending on what lip size you put on them.

Just so you're aware, a friend of mine recently went through a complete refurb of a set of RSs with new lips, powercoat centers and all new bolts, and the cost was in excess of $2500. You've been advised!

Thanks for the reply. So as a cost saver I could purchase a BBS RM and buy the lips separately?

A cost saver would be to find someone who's selling a set with big lips that's of the size you want.

Building the rims yourself would cost roughly the above said price.
