M20 exhaust manifold studs (on my 1989 bmw 325 Diamond Schwartz e30)

Hey guys

when I dropped my exhaust the bolts were frozen to the studs at the exhaust manifold.

I was going to get new studs (got new bolts) but they are $9 ea from the stealer!

Question is.

1. How can I get the bolts off the studs now (they are not on the car right now)? should i soak them in something. what works?

2. Does anyone have some of these studs they are willing to part with at a decent price?

Go to a place that sells metric hardware and by six M10X40 studs. Try to get the copper lock nuts for the exhaust.

So very true... i was always amazed everytime i took of the manifold to cat section bolts, so easy and never have to worry about busting a stud with those copper nuts... So worth it...
on a side track does anyone know if cars still use copper nuts? if not, why?
