M42 spark plugs - question

What plugs are you guys using for the M42 engine? I had 4 Bosch Supers ready to install but the Bosch Platinum 4 I yanked from the motor has a shorter length from seat to tip by at least 1/8" to 3/16" compared to the Supers. I was hesitant in putting the new ones in till I found out what the exact OEM Bosch replacement was.

From what I can find on the net you need the Bosch F7LDCR. I think it's the 'super plus' vs 'super'. Check your product #.

Yup thats the ones I have, I guess the Bosch Platinum 4's are just shorter due to the way they are made, certainly looked weird having 4 prongs shrouding the electrode..
Thanks for the help, new wires and plugs in tomorrow

Are the Bosch Supers two electrode or four? I just changed out my plugs from the Bosch two electrode out to Platinum 4's and the car seems to have lost some of it's punch. Wish I would have kept them in. Where did you end up getting your wires and o2 sensor from?

How strange, my car runs better with the Bosch Supers in it. New wires might have helped a bit as well.
Bought an almost new set of Bosch OEM wires and Super plugs off of Ebay.
