That's the GT3 I dropped the hammer on going into the Stanley Park causeway a couple of weeks ago. Really a bananas car IMHO.

Went to the 1 Series event 10AM sunday, with the missis.

(after taking a looonngg time to find the place - man thats out there)
The first thing Priss says as we enter the parking lot is....

"Wow - like that green 3 series" (it was Ryans car)

We looked for Ryan - wanting to compare how your 'fro was handling the damp and cold.. Didnt realize until reading this thread that you were the umbrella holder matey!!

Got any shots of me taking the cones out on the autocross circuit
Or our terrier being tossed about in the back of the cars?

I'll echo everyone else; That white tii-esque 135 sounded wicked. I dont see the carbon bits or the exhaust,or the wheel / brake kit on ANY option sheet for the 1 series tho. I wonder what options are coming down the pipe?

Overall - the staff there were brilliant. They knew their stuff, and were relaxed and friendly. In our "green' team for the 10am sunday session, everyone we came into contact with was great. NO pressure to buy, to sign, for anything. A good age / demographic split in our 'green team' group as well.

One interesting comment from one of the instructors ( He didnt seem the BS type - take it how you want)...

Hes worked for BMW Canada for a while as an driving instructor (mid 30s age)
He had an option last year to get an E46 M3 at crazily discounted pricing from BMW. He got a used 911 instead, and likes it. BUT
After playing with the 135's in the various events across Canada lately, he's looking at getting a 135 to tune and play with for his personal car.

Will be interesting to see how the 1 series Coupe evolves over the next few years (its a bit different to the 120d 5 door i rode in coupla years ago!!)

The car looked a lot better after driving them, and knowing the 300/300 HP and Torque figures. i likie a lot. A LOT

As always, great pics Ryan... Thank for posting/sharing them with the board.

The more I look at that kitted-out white 135i, the more I like it. As Andy pointed out...the whole 300/300 equation makes my hands tingle...
