Spencer's pictures | I know this is bimmerCLASSICS but... Is anyone else excited about the BMW 1 series? This car looks great in the pictures I've seen. Nice specs too - I love the brakes! I'm really looking forward to driving it once they arrive. Maybe I'll be able to pick a used one up after grad school. I see 1 series hatches daily here in Australia and they look okay but no coupes out here yet. What are your thought? |

direction88's pictures | Meh the only BMW 1 I'm interested in is the M1. Its not that bad though, seems to look less like a honda then some of the new models? |

Blakeoffire's pictures | The range-topping 135i will obviously be the one most sought after as it will undoubtedly be quite brisk, what with those 300+ horses underneath. Should be fun... I was rather unimpressed with the interior layout and design though...a bit hum-drum and mediocre. Another criticism: That sagging, beer-belly, multi-roll, muffin-top lower sill design cue completely aggravates me...Why did they have to distract and confuse that bold, firm, upper body-length crease with 2 blobs of lowdown sagging sways which reminds of all the teen-girls wearing way-too-tight lowrise jeans with their little-girl guts spilling out over top (and no, I'm not observing teen-girls... ).Maybe it's just one of those things where it may appear nasty to me in the pics but up close, in the metal, it won't look as naff...? B. |

motoyen's pictures | I've seen them in Europe and Japan and I'm not too thrilled with the styling, a little too Mazada protoge for me. I've also seen on Top Gear that they didn't like the quality of the interior much. It's not a bad car, I just think BMW could have done better, it's just so meh. |

Spencer's pictures | Come to think of it the 1 series hatch really does look like a mazda 3. Good call on that one. I think the coupe looks much different and better though. |

motoyen's pictures | I would opt for the M coupe over the 1 series. Less cargo room but far more fun. |
